Culture Blitz well-received

Kota Kinabalu: The Tourism and Culture Ministry (Motac) Culture Blitz event which promotes the local culture and arts of Malaysians to tourists has been well received in Sabah.

Motac’s Senior Assistant Secretary (policy division) Zubaidah Mukhtar said the event was held for the first time in the State under the Ministry’s Transformation Plan.

“We are grateful the event was received well by participants and the public including tourists. Sabah has been selected as the fourth location due to the potentials of the cultures of local ethnic groups here,” he said.

Exhibition, traditional performances based on the “Malaysia Truly Asia” concept as well as batik, beads and batik making demonstrations were also held during the event. Culture Blitz is a one-day event but the exhibition will continue until Nov 30.
