Datuk Masidi attended the Yassin Recital, Tahlil and Thanksgiving Prayer Ceremony in conjunction with the 52nd Merdeka Day celebration

Datuk Masidi Manjun, shaking hands with Sabah's Head of State, Tun Ahmadshah Abdullah, while Sabah's Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Aman, looked on. Datuk Masidi attended the Yassin Recital, Tahlil and Thanksgiving Prayer Ceremony in conjunction with the 52nd Merdeka Day celebration at the Sabah State Mosque in Sembulan, near Kota Kinabalu, on 30 August 2009.

Datuk Masidi Manjun bersalaman dengan Yang Dipertua Negeri Sabah, Tun Ahmadshah Abdullah sambil diperhatikan oleh Ketua Menteri Sabah, Datuk Seri Musa Aman ketika tiba di Majlis Bacaan Yassin, Tahlil dan Doa Selamat sempena sambutan Hari Kemerdekaan ke-52, di Masjid Negeri Sabah, di Sembulan, dekat Kota Kinabalu, pada 30 Ogos 2009.
