The charity dinner was held in order to raise fund to assist UiTM students with financial problems to carry on with their education. Datuk Masidi Manjun (tengah) turut menyanyikan lagu UiTM ketika Majlis Makan Malam Amal Persatuan Alumni UiTM Sabah, di Le Meridien Hotel, di Kota Kinabalu, pada 25 April 2009. Datuk Masidi Manjun merupakan Yang Dipertua Persatuan Alumni UiTM Sabah. Majlis amal tersebut diadakan untuk mengisi tabung bagi membantu penuntut UiTM yang menghadapi kekangan kewangan untuk terus menuntut di UiTM. Turut kelihatan Pengarah UiTM Sabah, Dr Wornt Haji Kabul (kedua dari kiri).
