Datuk Masidi Manjun melawat gerai-gerai di perkarangan dewan sebelum merasmikan pelancaran Pesta Gambus Peringkat Negeri Sabah 2009, di Dewan Masyarakat Baru Papar, di Papar, pada pagi 26 Julai 2009. Datuk Masidi Manjun mewakili Ketua Menteri Sabah, Datuk Seri Musa Aman melancarkan pesta tersebut.
