Harvest Festival Regatta on May 25

Kota Kinabalu: Sailors from various sailing clubs are urged to take part in the Harvest Festival and Sabah Fest Open Regatta 2013 which will be held at Kinabalu Yacht Club (KYC) in Tanjung Aru from May 25-26.

The even organised by KYC and assisted by Sabah Sailing Association is held in conjunction with the Harvest Festival celebrations.

The organiser said in a statement on Tuesday that it is a Sabah ranking Regatta event and will see different sizes of boats in the series race at sea complemented by their colourful sails.

Marathon race will be held near the island of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park on the first day followed by the Series races for all the classes.

The public are welcome to witness the two-day event which is aimed at providing exposure to the Sabah sailors and at the same time promoting water sports tourism in the State.
