MASWings staff urged to keep up good service throughout Ramadan

KOTA KINABALU: MASWings Sdn Bhd has urged its employees to maintain their level of service throughout the rest of the fasting month.
The airline’s CEO Captain Ritzerwan Rashid said this at a breaking of fast held in Le Meridien Hotel yesterday.
“The fasting month cannot be used as an excuse to abandon the responsibilities entrusted to us,” reminded Ritzerwan who also stressed that this is in line with the company’s integrity pledge.
He said the employees should not be easily dissuaded from this pledge for it would compromise the company’s delivery service especially with the current unethical challenges brought forth by globalisation.
“I urge all (MASWings’ employees) to take advantage of the virtues of this blessed month to reflect, in order to improve themselves,” said the CEO.
Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun and children from the As-Sakinah Home were also present at the breaking of fast ceremony.
MASWings has focused on fulfilling its corporate social responsibility (CSR) especially in Sabah and Sarawak since its inception in 2007.
In the Ramadan month, the breaking of fast ceremony will be held with orphanages in each of the airline’s station.
Besides that, MASWings also collaborates with YADIM (Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia) to execute its annual programme, “Penerbangan Prihatin MASWings-YADIM”.
Forty children from orphanages located in Kota Kinabalu will travel to Lahad Datu for this motivational programme.
Last year, 30 children were flown to Sandakan to participate in the programme and the Aidilfitri ceremony with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman.
