Sabah’s economy continues to thrive — Masidi

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah’s economy continues to thrive and contribute at the same time to the improved earnings of companies, said state Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun.

He said most companies had registered profits in their business, and during the present Ramadhan, a number had extended contributions to the less fortunate.

“This is sign that our economy is improving,” he added.

He was speaking to reporters here after breaking fast with orphans from the Rumah Putera Harapan Ranau in 1Borneo, Likas, near here.

Masidi said the 23 orphans had been brought specially for the function through the initiative of Hotel Novotel 1Borneo and Syarikat Adabi as well as Suria.fm.

“This is a reflection of their corporate social responsbility. I hope it will be an example for others to emulate,” he added.

At the same function, Masidi also launched Syarikat Adabi’s latest ‘Sambal Belacan’ which is set to add to the mix of food-based products available in Sabah. — Bernama
