Sabahan Creative Industry (Arts) Group Movement
YB Datuk Masidi Manjun presented  a contribution from Yayasan Artis 1Malaysia to a few of  Sabahan veteran artists. Datuk Masidi then proceeded with the launching of the Sabahan Creative Industry (Arts) Group Movement (SCIGM) on the 7th of January 2013 at the Ming Garden Hotel, Kota Kinabalu. Also present were YBhg Datuk DJ Dave, Chairman of Yayasan Artis 1Malaysia YBhg Datu Rosmadi Datu Sulai, General Manager of Sabah Cultural Board and the Chairman for SCIGM Miss Rozza Rothman.
YB Datuk Masidi Manjun menyampaikan sumbangan kepada beberapa artis veteran Sabah yang disumbangkan oleh Yayasan Artis 1Malaysia dan seterusnya melancarkan sebuah persatuan iaitu Pertubuhan Gerakan Kumpulan Industri Kreatif (Seni) Sabah (SCIGM)  pada 7 Januari 2013 bertempat di Hotel Ming Garden, Kota kinabalu. Turut hadir dalam acara tersebut adalah YBhg Datuk DJ Dave, Pengerusi Yayasan Artis 1Malaysia, YBhg Datu Rosmadi Datu Sulai, Pengurus Besar Lembaga Kebudayaan Sabah dan Cik Rozza Rothman,Pengerusi  Pertubuhan Gerakan Kumpulan Industri Kreatif (Seni) Sabah.

YB Datuk Masidi Manjun melancarkan buku Sabah Songs yang telah ditulis oleh Joanna Funk pada 20 Disember 2012 bertempat di Bella Italia Restoren, Kota Kinabalu. KePKAS’s Christmas and Year End lunch

Perayaan Hari Natal dan Akhir Tahun YB Datuk Masidi at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Environment's Christmas and Year End lunch on 20th December 2012 at Le Meridien, Kota Kinabalu. Also in attendance were YB Datuk Bolkiah Hj Islmail, the ministry’s Deputy Minister and Permanent Secretary, YBhg Datuk Michael Emban. YB Datuk Masidi Manjun menjadi tetamu kehormat bagi acara Majlis Makan Tengahari bersempena dengan perayaan Hari Natal dan Akhir Tahun Kementerian Pelancongan, Kebudayaan dan Alam Sekitar Sabah pada 20 Disember 2012 bertempat di Hotel Le Meridien, Kota Kinabalu. Turut hadir dalam acara tersebut adalah YB Datuk Bolkiah Hj Ismail selaku Pembantu Menteri Pelancongan, Kebudayaan dan Alam Sekitar Sabah dan YBhg Datuk Michael Emban, Setiausaha Tetap, Kementerian Pelancongan, Kebudayaan dan Alam Sekitar Sabah.

Taman Bukit Tawau still retains biodiversity value

Tawau: Taman Bukit Tawau still retains its priceless biodiversity value despite the development that has taken place surrounding the park. In fact, the area concerned supplies five million gallons of water for the use of thousands of people in three districts nearby. Chairman of Sabah Parks Board of Trustees, Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam, said the park is in fact a very important water catchment to Tawau, Semporna and Kunak. "The area has been a source of clean and unpolluted water supply to the three districts through planned development since 1979 so as to ensure continuous water supply to the population now and in the future," he said when closing the Taman Bukit Tawau Biodiversity Expo, here, Sunday. Regarding the four-day expo, he said, it recorded 2,500 visitors. The expo also saw the formation of Renjer Muda among students with an aim to guide their friends on conservation of the natural environment. Source : Daily Express

Borneo for the World event

Borneo For The World event YB Datuk Masidi Manjun received a courtesy visit from the Director of  the Department of  Sabah Museum and also Mr. Joe Lau, Creative Director of Infotronik Malaysia on the 4th of December 2012 at the minister's office. The courtesy visit was in conjunction with the Borneo for the World event which is expected to be held in April 2013, a joint effort by Sabah Museum, Infotronik Malaysia and The Martin and Osa Johnson Safari Museum.

YB Datuk Masidi Manjun menerima kunjungan hormat daripada Pengarah Jabatan Muzium Sabah dan juga dan Mr Joe Lau, Pengarah Kreatif syarikat Infotronik Malaysia pada 4 Disember 2012 bertempat di pejabatnya. Tujuan kunjungan tersebut adalah untuk membincangkan acara ' Borneo For The World ' sebuah acara kerjasama antara Muzium Negeri Sabah, Infotronik Malaysia dan Muzium Safari Martin & Osa Johnson yang dijangkakan diadakan pada bulan April 2013.
